Antutu Top 10 devices 2015

iPhone 6s Plus tops the list by a huge margin scoring 132,620. iPhone 6s runs on Apple A9 processor, Huawei Mate 8 runs on Kirin 950 while the Meizu Pro 5 runs on Exynos 7420. No device with Snapdragon SoC could get a place in Top 5. Interestingly, the iPhone 6, which was released back in 2014 with Apple A8 processor, beats few months old Nexus 6P which runs on Snapdragon 810. If iPad Pro was in this list, that would have scored over 150,000 with its A9X processor.

Yesterday, we reported about a device from Lenovo which appeared in Geekbench database with Helio P10 SoC. Well, the same device has just got certification from TENAA and seems ready to go on sale in China, atleast. This device from Lenovo looks very very similar to Xiaomi’s latest Redmi Note 3.

Lenovo K5 Note K52t38 TENAA

This device appeared in Geekbench with name “Lenovo K52e78” and had 3GB of RAM and the one which has got certification from TENAA, “Lenovo K52t38” is listed with 2GB of RAM. So, this is clear that they are 2 different variants of the same device. Presumably, the Lenovo K52e78, which appeared in Geekbench with 3GB RAM, could be having an internal storage of 32GB or 64GB whereas the TENAA listing of Lenovo K52t38 says that this 2GB RAM variant is going to have 16GB of internal storage.

TENAA listing tells us that this device, Lenovo K5 Note, will have a 5.5-inches Full HD IPS display and will measure 152 × 75.7 × 8.49 mm in dimensions. This device will also support expansion via microSD card slot upto 32GB and will run Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. Camera department will be handled by 13MP camera at the back and a 8MP camera at the front.

The device has appeared with the name “Gionee W909” with the processor being listed as MT6755 which is the Helip P10. Coupled with 4GB of RAM, this device is going to give more than enough room for multitasking. MT6755 is an octa-core processor which can go as high as 2.0 GHz under load. The geekbench record doesn’t reveal anything else about the device.

One more device appeared in the Geekbench with name “Lenovo K52e78” which could be the rumoured Lenovo K5 or K5 Note. Speculated, Lenovo K5/Note was spotted running with 3GB of RAM onboard

In these renders, the device appears to be enclosed in an aluminium frame with curved edges. The back shows some kind of dual-camera setup and a fingerprint scanner. There is no info yet how that dual camera setup is supposed to work. The device appears to be glossy from the back and front which also suggests that they might be covered with glass.

The specs of Nubia Z11 are still unknown but from what we have heard so far, it might come with a 5.2 inches display, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB RAM and 21 MP camera at the rear. There is also no official confirmation regarding the release of this device yet, but we can expect it to be launched in the event which Nubia is holding on January 18.

Mediatek Helio P10 Introduction Specifications

MediaTek processors are usually used in low to mid range devices where there are some pricing constraints. But things might change with its Helio X20 as it easily beats its rivals in multi-core performance. But here we are going to talk about Mediatek’s Helio P10 SoC which comes with an octa-core processor going upto 2.0 GHz. MediaTek claims that their Helio P10 has got very good response from the manufacturers.

According to a report from Fudzilla, MediaTek’s CJ Hsieh claims that they have signed agreements with more than 50 smartphone manufacturers which will be using the new Helio P10 processors in more than 100 devices. Mediatek started shipping Helio P10 in Q4 2015 and the devices with this SoC will start showing up in Q1 2016. The Helio P10 comes with eight cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and Mali T860 MP2 GPU. It is also MediaTek’s first ever processor to use 28 nm HP+ manufacturing process which would supposedly provide upto 30% reduced power consumption.

As far as we have heard, Meizu Blue Charm Note 3 will be one of the devices running on Helio P10 SoC. Hsieh further says that the number will also be good for devices running on Helio X20 this year.

Meizu MX5

Meizu hasn’t been much in news, lately. Looks like it is silently working on the successor of Meizu MX5 which was announced last year in june. Today, the weibo account of Antutu shared some info about Meizu’s 2016 flagship, Meizu MX6, but the post was later removed.

Meizu MX6 specifications Antutu Weibo post

According to AnTuTu’s claim, Meizu MX6 is going to be first device to run on Mediatek’s latest Helio X20 SoC. We should mention that Helio X20 showed some amazing multi-core performance when it appeared in Geekbench last month. It has a 64-bit deca-core processor with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU sporting some combinations of Cortex-A72 and Cortex-A53 cores. As per the report, Meizu MX6 will sport a 1080p display of unknown size, 3GB RAM for multitasking, 32GB internal storage and Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with Flyme OS UI on top of it.

Prior to the official launch of MX6, which will likely happen later this year, the specifications may get changed by Meizu so take them with a grain of salt.

Earlier reports suggested that this 4-incher will come with Apple’s A9 processor. But today’s report claims that this alleged iPhone 5e will be equipped with the A8 processor which will be coupled with 1GB of RAM due to some pricing constraints. Features, this enhanced version of iPhone 5s will be carrying, are Apple Pay, NFC and VoLTE. Moreover, Apple will give only two storage options with this device, 16GB and 64GB. The report also says that iPhone 5e is expected to be priced at 3288 yuan (around $500), presumably, for the 16GB model when the iPhone 5s is currently being sold for $300-$350 in many markets.

According to another report, iPhone 5e will be the first device running on iOS 9.3, as we are expecting, and will be unveiled in the anticipated March event. We might also see a new Apple Watch in that event.

Source updated and some corrections were made. The report originally comes from from Digi.tech.qq instead of Mydrivers.

This CES made LeTV the first smartphone manufacturer to use Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 820 SoC on their newly announced LeTV Le Max Pro. Non of the top players like LG, Samsung, Sony, Huawei, etc were able to use it first on their devices. As per the rumours, Xiaomi’s flagship for this year, the Mi 5 will be the 2nd to use Snapdragon 820 SoC. But what we came across today, while browsing through Geekbench database, is a device which appeared with a strange name “RAIN RAIN A3000”.

unknown device rain rain a3000 revised snapdragon 820

This unknown device is rocking 4GB of RAM but the interesting point to note here is the “revision 2” in the Processor ID. Looks like this device is using a revised version of Snapdragon 820 SoC because if you look for any other device in Geekbench, Xiaomi Mi 5 for example, you will find Mi 5 running on “revision 1”. The benchmark doesn’t reveal about the manufacturer behind this device, other than just a strange name “RAIN RAIN A3000” which is more likely to be the codename of this device. This unknown device is using a revised version of Snapdragon 820 Soc while Xiaomi Mi 5 and LeTV Le Max Pro are on “revision 1”.

Currently, there is no info regarding what changes the revised version of Snapdragon 820 brings to the table, but we might see something comping up in near future.
