Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910F) gets Android 6.0 update in Europe
According to a report from a Hungarian blog, Napidroid, people have started receiving an OTA for Android 6.0 Marshmallow on their Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910F) devices. This seems to be really unusual because Samsung is to yet to release Android 6.0 updated for their 2015 Galaxy line-up, but here they have updated the Galaxy Note 4.0 which was announced back in 2014. The firmware build is N910FXXU1DOL3 according to the source. You can also see the screenshots below.
According to the report, users have seen some performance boost on their device but there seems to be no impact on the battery life. The infamous Galaxy Note 5’s screen off memo which lets it’s user to take note as soon as you pull out your S pen from your device has apparently being updated. There some minor changes here and there as well like the new app icons and newly updated Air Command which was featured on the new Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+. Only the application switcher seems to break while scrolling.
It is still not known whether this was mistake from Samsung’s side or whether they truly wanted to be loyal and surprise their old Note users. Let’s just hope Samsung rolls it out for more regions very soon.
